Bonecrusher
In The Riffle brings us another great fly tying video and this time with a cool Bonefish fly.
The Bonecrusher is an incredible small Bonefish fly. The Bonecrusher can be tied in several different sizes and colors. In this video we tie the Bonecrusher in the most popular “Shrimpy” color. The Bonecrusher is the perfect Bonefish Fly for the Bahamas, Mexico and Florida. The Bonecrusher can be tied with Beadchain or Lead Eyes, depending on the depth of the flat. The Bonecrusher can be tied in many colors, just simply change the color of the D-Rib and the Pseudo Hair wing. The Bonecrusher is a must have in any Bonefish Fly Box! Fun to tie too!!
Bearded Biscuit strikes again!
Josh Greenberg of Gates Au Sable Lodge in Grayling, Michigan, sent me this photo this morning with the message, “Happy customers…on the Bearded Biscuit.” These guys caught this awesome Brown on my streamer, the Bearded Biscuit!
I just had to share this, because it made my day! You might wonder why I call it the Bearded Biscuit. It’s simple. It has a beard and it is a biscuit for fish. A snack, if you will. Anyway, this is an articulated streamer with weighted dumbbell eyes. You can fish it with a jigging type action or strip it in at a normal to fast speed. Check out the photos below.
