Bass Bug Sushi Roll Sweepstakes

From Flymen Fishing Company!

Enter your email for the chance to win a Fishpond Sushi Roll Streamer Holder filled with a dozen Double Barrel Bass Bugs!

We’ve teamed up with Fishpond to give away 5 of their Sushi Roll Streamer Holders filled with a dozen Surface Seducer Double Barrel Bass Bug poppers each!

Streamers finally have a place to call home without being crushed, smashed, flattened, and put to bed wet without having a chance to dry.

The Fishpond Sushi Roll is an innovative solution for a conveniently sized carry system to protect and store streamer flies for easy viewing and selection. When not rolled, it lays flat as a working platform, but when rolled a spacial dimension between layers gives streamers the necessary space to breathe.

Add a little rice and it would almost look good enough to eat!

From FlyFishFood:
“One of our favorite ant patterns. Great for imitating big timber ants or just use as an attractor pattern.”

Wasabi Frog

Junior Schraeder joins our fly tying video series with his fast and durable Wasabi Frog: Tie up a bunch of these and throw them into harm’s way.

“The wide profile, light weight, and durability of this fly make it an awesome frog pattern for Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Kentucky Bass.
When casting it, make sure to get it as close to the bank as possible, as this is where it is most likely to get eaten. Try to look for grassy banks, or preferably Lilly Pads to cast to.
Once the fly hits the water, give it a few seconds before popping it, as this gives the fish time to become interested in it. Tight lines and have fun fishing. _ Junior”

Kayak Bass Fishing Magazine – Spring 2017

Yes, I’m a little late on posting this. I meant to post it when it came out and then it slipped through the cracks. I love fly fishing from my kayak, so I definitely wanted to post about KBF magazine.
There are a couple of good fly articles in this edition too. One on how to fish skinny water and the other on a nice streamer by Brandon Bailes.
Check it out!
