New Partridge USA website

Partridge Hooks has a brand new website covering the US side and its fly tyers found at this web address https://partridgeusa.com/. Willowemoc Creek is the primary US Distributor behind this ran by Joe Fox of Dette Flies. You can find Willowemoc Creek on both Facebook and Instagram.

All of the hooks are covered on the website including Partridge of Redditch, Sprite, and Cox&Rawle.

I have been using Partridge Hooks for years and they have always performed extremely well for me. Partridge of course has a lot of great models and they have some really nice new models available as well. If you haven’t yet checked out the new Sprite Barbless Hooks, they are high quality hooks you should be looking into.

Spent Mayfly with Barry Ord Clarke

This reminds me of some spent wing dry fly patterns that came from Michigan. Love the way these look!
I tie my wings a bit different than Barry. I basically tie them straight out and then bend them back and place thread wraps to situate them. But Barry does a nice job of showing you a great way of doing it.

Spawn 90 Degree Jig Shanks

Spawn Fly Fish has just recently released new 90 degree jig shanks. A relatively simple, but very cool idea! They come in three sizes, 20, 30, and 40mm. A lot of fly tyers have already snatched some up and started tying with them. Here is what Spawn Fly Fish has to say about their new shanks.

“Getting Bent is now a simple phrase which evokes the mental image of angling success. At Spawn Fly Fish we applied a slightly different angling to our shanks. If you want an angle to be right every time it can only be a 90°! Easily weighted with slotted beads or dumbbell eyes. Add more shanks for multiple articulations or simply slide on a hook to fit your target species. With the Spawn 90° Jig Shank you know it’s RIGHT!”

Spawn Fly Fish mentioned to me that a 60 degree jig shank has also been designed and will be available soon.

So check’em out and see what you think. Here is the link to the shanks:

Fish-Skull Disco Deceiver

From Flymen Fishing Company:
“Paul Brown’s Disco Deceiver is a big flashy streamer with TONS of swimming action. For targeting everything from pike to brown trout in endless color combinations, the Disco Deceiver is a ton of fun to fish and tie.
