Bumblepuppy – Ryan Houston

The Bumblepuppy is a very old fly pattern. It was created by Theodore Gordon. Yes, the exact same fly tyer from the Catskill area that invented the famous Quill Gordon dry fly. Gordon lived between 1854-1915. There are several variations of this fly. Gordon used to tie these and include them with orders he would send out to customers.

In this fly tying video, Ryan Houston shows how to tie this classic pattern and explains along the way. Enjoy!
