Darth Wader – Stuart Foxall

Since it is May the 4th, I thought it would be appropriate to post a pattern which name is based from Star Wars. This is Stuart Foxall tying his Darth Wader Intruder.
It is brought to us by Deneki Outdoors. They have a very nice blog where they post many of the patterns they use in Alaska, The Bahamas, and Chile. So head over there to check it out.

From Deneki:
“Renowned fly tier, fisherman and friend of Deneki, Stuart Foxall, is back with Jay Bartlett of Fly Fish Adventures to share another fly tying video, this time of the dark destroyer of salmonids. I must admit, this intruder style fly has one of my favorite names for a pattern.”

Materials list:
articulated shank
dumbell eyes
purple intruder wire
purple dubbing ball
fox fur dubbing loop
purple and blue holographic flash
black rhea or ostrich feather barbs
pearl flash
pearl flatbraid body
black cock hackle
black hen or pheasant rump wings
