FrankenFly update

bbart

I thought I would take some time to update all of you FrankenFly readers on the happenings with me and all things FrankenFly, since I haven’t had the chance to do that for some time.

First, since this post is leading with an image, as you can see, I have brand new fly artwork from my graphics guy, Eryck Webb. I thought it would be cool to have some art for my Bearded Biscuit articulated streamer. I couldn’t be happier with the job Eryck did on this! I plan to have t-shirts made up soon. The Bearded Biscuit has caught some huge brown trout and some big bass. Fish dig the beard!

I have been planning to add more flies to the FrankenFly online store. I have many more classic Michigan dry flies to add, but I’ve been so busy tying orders, I haven’t had a chance to update it yet. That is actually a good problem to have. I also do custom fly orders, so if there are some flies you would like to have tied by me that you don’t see in the store, just email me and ask me about it.

As far as the website, I can always use more content for FrankenFly posts. So if you are a fly tyer and you have something to send me, don’t hesitate to do so. It could be anything about the flies you tie or original patterns you have designed. But it could also be anything fly tying related, like a specific technique, tip or trick, etc. Look for the contact link on the About page here if you don’t already know my email address.

Finally, in about a week, I will be heading to my favorite places up north to vacation and fish in Pure Michigan. I hope to have some nice photos and summarize the trip on my return.

Once again, thank you for visting and reading FrankenFly. It means a lot to me that all of you keep coming back and enjoying the website. Thank you!

    Paul,
Be care when wading, those canoe armadas on the river are dangerous! Be safe, and show those Michiganders how to catch fish!

Going to Michigan to fish eh….that’s right across the St. Clair from me.
