An interesting fly with a unique choice in materials this week from Tim Flagler. This is a good reminder to be on the lookout for unorthodox materials you can use in your fly tying. Check out a dollar store or a craft store or even the trash and have fun with it!
I should have made it more clear in the video, the Mop part of this fly has been around for quite some time and is a favorite among competitive anglers. I most certainly didn’t come up with the idea of using it as a tying material (but wow does it ever work).
No problem Tim, sounds good!
Thank you!
Paul
What is the best way to fish it? What size hook, tippet and leader do you recommend. I have tied some up on size 12 emerger hooks.
