Regan’s Spinners

Recently Paul Shurtleff has posted Regan’s Spinners that he has tied beautifully. Regan’s Hendrickson Spinners and Regan’s Brown Drake Spinners. Jerry Regan is a Michigan Dry Fly tyer who hails from Michigan. Jerry is the man who taught me how to tie dry flies and I talk to him every year at the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo. He has designed some beautiful dry flies of his own and these two spinners are just a couple.

Paul Shurtleff noticed Jerry’s flies and has been tying his own take on them.

Regan’s Hendrickson Spinner

From Paul Shurtleff:
“This is a pattern introduced to me a few years ago by a friend of mine, a Michigan native, Erik Peterson, developed by Jerry Regan, hence the name Regan’s Hendrickson Spinner. These are the very flies I tied when I “went live” for a demo while practicing my social distancing.”

A quick question, Is the post tied in as with body and ¨stood¨ up or is the post tied in seperately?

Body and post are made from the sand piece of deer hair
