Sunken Trico – Jim Misiura

It’s Trico time, so check out this nicely tied Sunken Trico by Jim Misiura, who always does a great job of explaining while he ties.

From Jim:
“The months of July through September is the time to look for Tricos on your local trout streams. You can find these small mayflies over rifffles in the morning, sometimes until as late as 11: 00. The sunken trico is an overlooked stage of this mayflies cycle. Most fisherman prefer to fish the dry spinner.”

Materials list:

Hook: Std Dry #20 – #24
Thread: Black
Tail: Micro Fibbets
Abdomen: Cream Fur
Wings: Rabbit Hair
Thorax: Black Rabbit
