From Galloup’s Slide Inn:
“Kelly came up with this pattern for the Jackson Hole One Fly Competition that takes place every year on Idaho’s snake river. The flies are not allowed to be bigger than a Size 6 with a 3X long shank for this contest, so he needed a fly that looked big on a smaller hook. The grizzly hackles give it the barring in the tail and the grizzly marabou on the wing give it the desired profile and bulk that I like in a big fish fly.”
