If you haven’t noticed the thoroughly detailed and beautifully photographed flies of John and Katie Demuth, then you might want to change that. You can follow them on Instagram @demuth_flyfishing. They are a husband and wife team, with John tying most of the time and Katie taking the photos.
Recently they posted this Unsinkable Caddis, which is just a spectacular looking fly. John and Katie explained that this particular fly was actually tied and photographed in a small hotel room on a recent trip.
Besides the unmistakable part of the wing that makes this fly unsinkable, there are other sections of this fly that make it stand out. The perfect winding of the Golden Badger hackle, the buggy look of the FrankenDUB Nymph dubbing body, and to top it off, the hot pink hotspot made from Deer Creek resin.
All around this is a superb fly tied and photographed by John and Katie. Below is the full list of materials.
